Q. Is this service free?
A. Yes. Individuals may use this service for free. Agencies, please make a donation prior to using the service.(Top)
Q. How does it work?
A. It's simple. You create an account, verify
your email address, then complete a questionairre for your profile. That's it
- other users can then search and
find you. In the meantime, you can search for other users yourself, and after
you have signed up, you'll be able to send and receive messages. (Top)
Q. I don't find very many people
when I do a search, is it working?
A. The registry is still growing. If you don't
find very many people, and you have already tried to broaden your search
criteria, then check back in a couple of days. Also, when you do a search,
you only see active users. There are far more users that may be marked "Inactive"
that
you don't see, and they may become active again soon. Lastly, be sure
that you have made your own account "Active" so that others can
find you and send you messages. (Top)

Q. How do I change my email address or password?
A. Log in to the registry and visit the "Change Account Info" link
at the top right. (Top)
Q. My profile page says that I have not confirmed my email address. How
do I do that?
A. You should have received an email from the Attendant Network after you signed up.
Check your email and follow the instructions listed in it. (Top)
Q. I signed up, but I did not
receive my confirmation email, and I cannot login. What do I do?
A. If you've already signed up, but you cannot login using your email address
and password, you may have entered your email address incorrectly when signing
up, or you could be using the wrong password. Try to email
your password to yourself. If you used the wrong email address when signing
up, the system will not find your email address. Try signing up again and
be careful how you enter your email address. (Top)
Q. I can login, but I did not
receive my confirmation email. What do I do?
A. Send an email to info@attendantnetwork.org
and we will confirm your account for you. (Top)
Q. It says there is already an account using my email address. How could that
happen?
A. You may have created an account in the past, or someone else has
entered your email address. Read the next question to resolve the problem. (There's also a chance that you're entering someone else's email address by mistake.) (Top)
Q. I forgot my password. How can I login?
A. You can email your password to yourself automatically.

Communication
Q. I sent someone a message. Why haven't I gotten a response?
A. They may have received your message and decided not to reply. Users are
not required to reply to messages. There is a possibility that your email
did not reach the recipient for several different reasons. It is ok to send
a second, polite message. (Top)
Q. Someone sent me a message. Do I have to reply?
A. No, you don't have to reply but it is the courteous thing to do. (Top)
Q. I don't want to receive any messages from anyone. How can I stop them?
A. Simply go to your profile page and change your status to "inactive."
Users that are inactive cannot receive new messages from other users. (Top)
Q. How do I know who I have sent messages to
in the past?
A. Visit the "sent items" page in your mailbox. (Top)
Profiles
Q. I can't update my profile.
A. If you don't have a "Save" button at the bottom of the profile page, you have not confirmed your email address. Read the Accounts
section above. (Top)
Q. Do I have to fill out the entire profile form?
A. No. There are no required fields in the profile, however, if you do not
fill out your profile completely, fewer people will find you using
the search tool. and if they do find you, they may be dissapointed. (Top)
